  I experienced a syncopal episode on a Sunday. I monitored myself and waited until Monday to give Dr. Thomas a call to see if she could conduct a workup since this was my first experience with syncope. The first nurse that returned the call was polite and indicated that this would be escalated due to the nature of the episode and that Dr. Thomas' nurse would call. Almost 4 hours later I receive a call from her nurse who verbalized that I was to go to the ER because she couldn't fit me in today. I was stunned at the request since this issue had occurred over 24 hours ago. Why would I go to the ER when I have insurance and a PCP?! And there are other doctors in the practice that could possibly see me. Dr. Thomas has been my PCP since I relocated back home almost 10 years now, but it's time to move on. I would not recommend her as a PCP. I'm sure there are other more attentive PCPs out there.
